Charter/Mission Statement
- F.H.O.R.A is dedicated to fun & competitave H.O. slot car racing using the best equipment available from our sponsors on privately owned quality tracks throughout the State of Florida.
Club Member Responsibilities
- Race program direction/coordination, tech, etc.
- Race prize solicitation, trophies/plaques, etc.
- Financial - dues/fees collection, disbursement, disclosure statements
- Internal communications - club newsletter, race reports, photos, etc.
- External communications - media publicity, flier mailouts/drops, web, etc.
Sources & Uses Of Funds
- Membership Dues - $12 for rolling 12 month membership. Covers Rulebook, Name Badges, Participant Plaques, Webpage costs.
- Entry Fees - $5 per race. $1 host track service fee, $3 trophy/plaque series awards, $1 club treasury. Any race prizes are donated through formal club solicitation.
Championship Points Series
- Ten month points series.
- 1st place - 10 points, 2nd place - 9 points, 3rd place - 8 points, 4th place - 7 points, 5th place - 6 points, 6th place - 5 points. The remaining competitors (if any) receive three points each.
- Best nine out of ten races count towards points series. 1st Tie Breaker: Highest points for dropped race. 2nd Tie Breaker: most 1st Place, most 2nd Place, etc. Annual dues paying members are eligible.
Race Program Format
- "Autoqualify" by manual or computerized random draw for all races.
- Two separate rounds of elimination races leading to main event to maximize on-track time for all racers.
- Total laps only determine move-ups for all races.
- Main events equalized on a six lane track basis; 4 lane tracks use 6 man round robin format.
- European style lane rotation for all races. Each track's lane rotation scheme must be prominently displayed.
Regular Race Event Timetable
- 9:00 - 11:00 Open Practice
- 11:00 - 12:00 Lunch/Drivers Meeting
- 12:30 - Tech Opens for First Race
- 1:00 - 2:30 First Race
- 2:30 - 4:00 Second Race
- 4:00 - 5:30 Third Race* If time permits.
- Additional pre-race practice by arrangement with host track owner
